My name is Heather. I’m a freelance web and graphic designer. Web design is something I really enjoy doing. I’ve done quite a few websites for friends, and they have referred others to me. I’ve been “in the business” since 2001.

I have taken CNET online courses focused on web design standards, coding, domains and servers, etc.

I can develop a simple personal web site for you, or I can develop an e-commerce or other interactive-type website.

I can create banner ads, logos, and other graphics, optimize your site for search engines, point you in the right direction as far as domain registration and hosting are concerned. If you need help installing a script, such as a Coppermine image gallery, etc. I can do that.
Basically, I can take you from start to finish, and will explain everything along the way.
I can put together a site that you will be able to update on your own without knowing any code.

Generally speaking, I charge around $500 for a full e-commerce web site. Static web pages are usually around $100 a page. I prefer to charge by the project instead of by the hour like some designers do, because I like to take my time and make sure it's done right, but don't feel clients should have to PAY for me taking my time. If a client insists that I charge by the hour, I like to get around $30. If you do some comparison shopping, you'll find that my rates are very reasonable. There is a little "wiggle room" for negotiation as well.
